The Fall Creek School Age Program (FCSAP) is seeking fun, enthusiastic and compassionate after school counselors to join our team! FCSAP provides quality childcare for families with children in Kindergarten - 5th grade at Fall Creek Elementary School in Ithaca, New York.

FCSAP is made up of dedicated professionals with a passion for serving kids in the community. Our joyful, kid-driven, play-focused program provides children with healthy snacks as well as both structured and unstructured activities. We offer arts and crafts daily and other specialty interest activities such as yoga and sewing. Organized sport and team-building games and homework support are also offered every day.

We are seeking individuals who can bring their unique talents and interests to the program to enhance the lives of kids. Our program honors the values of Safety, Honesty, Acceptance, Respect and Kindness (SHARK).

Program Operations:

The program runs Monday - Friday from 1:30pm - 5:30pm during the school year and follows the Ithaca City School District Calendar.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children ages 5 - 11 (2 years required)

• Must be willing to undergo background checks including fingerprinting (required)

• Must abide by New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) regulations

• Must abide by regulations set forth by the Centers for Disease Control, Department of Health and Tompkins County Health Department

• Must be team-oriented and have excellent communication skills

• Must be reliable, responsible, punctual and exercise good judgment in order to establish and maintain a safe and healthy program environment

• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or a related field (preferred but not necessary)
